WOMEN'S HEALTH DAY
On Sunday, July 10, our Women's Ministry sponsored a local health fair for women called "Staying Healthy at All Ages. Free testing for bloood cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood sugar was provided to those interested. A presentation by Dr. Suto of Dayspirng Family Health Center discussed general health and nutrition recommendations for women at various stages of life. A pasta supper was also provided. The event was well attended and well received. Thank you, ladies, for this initiative for making our community a happier and healthier one.
On Sabbath, May 7, in celebration of Mother's Day, the Women's Ministries Department presented to the ladies in our church each a medicine bottle filled with a prescription of the "Word of Living God." Labeled with the physician, "Jesus," and with unlimited refills, each came with the following instructions:
|"READ, STUDY OR MEMORIZE ONE SCRIPTURE SLIP DAILY AS YOUR PERSONAL 'WORD FROM GOD.' APPLY LIBERALLY TO YOUR LIFE ALLOWING ADEQUATE TIME FOR 'MEDICINE' TO BE FULLY ABSORBED. FOR BEST RESULTS INCREASE TIME SPENT IN PRAYER."|
We appreciate the ladies who took several evenings putting these together. We admire their creativity and frugality.
